Description: As part of OTAVA's ongoing infrastructure modernization efforts, we will be replacing the core switching infrastructure within the Las Vegas Datacenter.
To facilitate these operations, we have scheduled a rolling maintenance window across two consecutive nights. Maintenance activities will occur between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM Eastern Time on the following dates:
The morning of Friday, October 2nd (beginning at 12:00 AM ET) The morning of Saturday, October 3rd (beginning at 12:00 AM ET)
An OTAVA Engineer will be on-site in the datacenter performing the work during these times. We are taking every precaution to make this migration as non-disruptive as possible.
Work being performed: *Compute hosts will be placed in maintenance mode one at a time and then their network links moved to new switches. VMs will be migrated between hosts with zero downtime. *Storage connections will have new links connected and then storage connections moved to those new links. *Internet providers will have their BGP session gracefully shutdown, allowing connections to failover to redundant connections. Connections will be moved and the BGP session brought back up.
